Garrett Wankel, Founder of Dry By Design, is a desert body, through and through. Born in Arizona, and residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, Garrett draws inspiration from both regions’ natural biodiversity and splendor. 

While his love for nature is innate, he fully dove into his passion for landscape and gardening about 10 years ago. Drawing inspiration from the ways of nature, he loves the challenge of translating natural elements into limited spaces, working with the flow of the existing geography, rain pathways and light to support and complement his designs.

Dry by Design (DxD) is for clients that are looking to make their outdoor spaces as enjoyable as their indoor spaces.
